Emerging Therapeutic Targets and Clinical Trials for ALD. Three main therapeutic strategies are currently being explored: (1) Protecting hepatocytes by reducing apoptosis, alleviating oxidative stress, and promoting liver regeneration; (2) Targeting inflammatory pathways to mitigate liver and systemic inflammation; and (3) Modulating the gut-liver axis through strategies such as lowering LPS levels, probiotic supplementation, and fecal microbiota transplantation.
