Atg3 and Atg7 form stable covalent complexes with LC3 and are sensitive to oxidative inhibition. a Reducible higher molecular weight complexes corresponding to LC3-bound Atg3 and Atg7 can be observed for recombinant enzymes, in addition to a disulfide-bound Atg7 dimer.
