From: Limits to the strain engineering of layered square-planar nickelate thin films

Neodymium, nickel, and oxygen atoms are depicted in blue, red, and yellow, respectively. The number line presents the bulk in-plane lattice parameters of Nd4Ni3O10 (3.826 Å)95 and Nd4Ni3O8 (3.915 Å)20, as well as the pseudocubic lattice parameters of LaAlO3 (001), NdGaO3 (110), SrTiO3 (001). The lattice mismatch between Nd4Ni3O10, Nd4Ni3O8 and the three substrates are shown in blue and green, respectively.
