The working hypothesis of the present work: the chelation of the Lewis acid with the dicarbonyl group of DAC can initiate the ring-strain-release-induced glycosylation reaction followed by the proton scavenging by released enolate. R Functional group, LA Lewis acid, Nu Nucleophile.
