The red symbols with dotted line refer to the measured second harmonic (2ω) EA signals (transmission mode) of a 10 wt% ITIC in PVK and b 100 wt% ITIC. The black and blue solid lines denote the first and second derivatives of device absorbance, respectively. The first excited state (S1 state) is denoted by Region I, where the gray symbols and solid lines at low energy indicate the uncertainty region where absorbance has low signal-to-noise ratio. The dispersed phase (non-interacting molecules) of ITIC molecules is defined by Region II, which is shaded in yellow. Region III represents the transport band gap (Eg) of ITIC, which is approximately 2.2 eV. The applied electric field is around 105 V/cm.
