Climate indices: 1) SAM Index (a, e, i); 2) Oceanic Nino Index (b, f, j); 3) ASL relative central pressure (c, g, k) and longitude (d, h, l). The three rows display results for the EAIS (red), AP (black) and WAIS (blue) respectively. Surface meltwater area and climate index data were detrended prior to conducting linear regression. Significant relationships (p < 0.05) are indicated by an asterisk next to the plot title (a,g).
