The source crater from this is likely to be the unnamed ~40 km-diameter impact crater centred at 20.55°N, 24.04°W. The plains to the northwest exhibit bright-toned ejecta oriented from the blast zone, which correspond to detections of Fe/Mg-rich phyllosilicate-bearing material in CRISM survey data (MOCCAS dataset; Carter et al., 2022). Prior to the impact, it is likely that the mound resembled the others around it, and only exhibits this exceptional exposure due to the impact. CaSSIS ID MY37_024829_160_3.
