(a) Sodium TQTPPI spectrum without cells in full height. The single quantum (SQ) resonance dominates the spectrum. There seems to be no triple quantum contribution. (b) Zoomed section of the TQTPPI spectrum (depicted by the red bar in (a)). Without cells (black line) a very weak TQ contribution can be observed. Living cells (red line) lead to a markedly higher TQ contribution.
