A hierarchically clustered heat map of the primary metabolite levels of 89 representative metabolites at different developmental stages of saffron corm. The relative values of each metabolite were normalized to the internal standard ribitol of each developmental stage and are provided in Table S1, Supplementary information. Dark green represents lowest accumulation while the highest accumulation is depicted as dark red. S1–S5 refers to the five developmental stages of Crocus corm.
