Study area and sample sites. 11 samples were collected from two glacier-fed streams in June 2016 in the Tianshan Mountains, Central Asian. The map is from Ren et al. (2017)²⁴ and was created in ArcGIS 14.0 (http://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/) using DEM image download from USGS (https://earthexplorer.usgs.gov/).
