Reactivity of recombinant B. microti proteins against sera from B. microti-infected patients in BmELISA. Nineteen recombinant B. microti proteins were tested against 28 human sera positive for B. microti antibodies. Signal/cutoff is calculated by dividing the individual absorbance (A450nm) with the mean optical density reading for the human serum samples negative for antibodies to B. microti (n = 15) + 2 standard deviations of the mean. Circles represent the reactivity of each patient serum against individual recombinant protein. Immunoreactivity was classified as high, medium and low based on having the highest percentage of positives over the signal/cut-off value above 1.
