A case in which the pathology diagnosis by transbronchial lung cryobiopsy (TBLC) was inconsistent with the diagnosis of MDD. (A), (B): pathology by TBLC. Dense fibrosis with architectural destruction were observed (blue curcle). However, normal alveolar structure beside the dense fibrosis was not observed in this specimen. (C), (D): high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT). Centrilobular nodules were observed in the upper lobes of the lung (orange arrow). In addition, reticular shadows or honeycombing which suggests UIP pattern were not observed.
