Figure 1

CSF sEH metabolite and PUFAs associations with AD-implicated CSF protein clusters. Most pronounced associations collapsed into variable cluster components, with the indicated Spearman’s rank order correlation statistics, including Spearman’s ρ and p-value. The sEH metabolites cluster was created from 11,12-DiHETrE, 14,15-DiHETrE and 19,20-DiHDoPE and the PUFA cluster from EPA, DHA and AA. CSF proteins were organized into three clusters (Table S5): cluster 1—containing mostly vascular proteins, with F2, AMBP and VTN as most representative members with R2 > 0.8; Cluster 2—containing proteins involved in energy metabolism and cell proliferation, with PKM, ALDOA and PEBP1 as most representative members with R2 > 0.7; Cluster 3 containing glycolysis regulating ENO2 and cell proliferation regulating COL6A1 and glycolytic enzyme ALDOC. Analysis was performed separately for AD cases and healthy controls and the two groups are indicated on the graph by colors: blue—healthy control; orange—AD cases. N for AD cases = 151; healthy controls = 142.
