HSPA9 downregulation increases macrophage polarization and cell death in DSS-induced inflammatory colitis. (A) Immunofluorescence staining was conducted to demonstrate the expression levels of macrophages (Green) and p-STAT3 (Red). (B) CD68 expression in the colon tissue was evaluated using immunofluorescence staining (Red). (C) Mitochondrial fission was assessed by p-DRP1 (s616) staining (Red) through immunofluorescence analysis. (D) Immunohistochemical staining demonstrated a decrease in SOD1 and increased cleaved caspase-3 levels in DSS-treated Het mice, indicating alterations in programmed cell death processes within the colon tissue. The blue fluorescence in the images corresponds to DAPI staining of the nuclei.
