(B) Calibration indices of the risk model for death. Figure 5 indicates that the model overestimated the probability of death and underestimated the probability of ICU in external validation. For example, in panel A, when the model predicts an ICU probability less than 0.8, the observed ICU probability is higher than 0.8. In panel B, when the model predicts a mortality probability close to 0.8, the observed mortality probability is close to 0.6.
