  1. For in vitro assays (blue columns), the protein assay and enzymatic activities (%) of SVMP, SVSP and LAAO in heated BjV and ultrafiltration fractions were comparatively shown in regard to BjV. For in vivo assays (gray columns), these fractions were injected s.c. at the dorsum of BALB/c mice (n = 5–14), and after 3 h platelet counts, plasma fibrinogen levels and hemorrhage at the site of injection were evaluated. Results were expressed as mean ± s.e.m.
