This figure shows the histograms of possible values for the percentage change in TFP due to drought in three world regions of concern. The horizontal yellow line in each histogram represents the mean, while the colored bins between the orange lines represent the range of values one standard deviation from the mean. The percentage likelihood that drought has decreased TFP is the percentage of samples below 0, or to the left of the red vertical line, for each region. Note that the yellow line representing the mean in each histogram corresponds to the maximum likelihood estimate in Fig. 4, while the rightward orange line in each histogram corresponds to the upper bound value and the leftward orange line corresponds to the lower bound.
