Demographics of the firefighters comprising the cohort in which NGS was performed. Descriptive statistics of the 261 firefighters whose cfDNA was analysed by NGS. IQR, interquartile range, is shown as the difference between quartile 3 and quartile 1. The values for the median and IQR are related to the number of fires attended by the firefighters. The data are presented as the number of firefighters, n (%), unless otherwise indicated. (1) One person did not declare their sex and therefore is not included in these numbers. (2) A “previous non-LFB firefighter” refers to a firefighter who participated in fires in addition to those recorded by the LFB.
