Red-eye Flight ( A Poem Reading Tuesday Production:))

Red-eye Flight

 

You look at the night

through your dark eyes

that search for light.

 

You look at your flight

through your red eyes

that wanna shutter tight.

 

Drifting in your eyes are

the scarlet morning clouds

that are gonna burn

and become bright.

 

 

Notes:

This poem was inspired by the poem “I look at the world” by Langston Hughes and was written during lunch break on Feb. 20, 2024.
