Termidor 与有机磷杀白蚁剂不同，有机磷杀白蚁剂需要高剂量，而termidor的剂量比例小，就防治和保护的时间长度而言，它比有机磷杀白蚁剂的有效期长。

Termidor与拟除虫菊酯类的驱避杀白蚁剂不同。驱避的杀白蚁剂要达到100％的效果，就必需完成一个连续的无间隙或断层的屏障，实际上这是很难做到的事。相反，termidor 杀死所有进入处理区域的白蚁而不是排斥它们，白蚁没有检出毒素的能力而不断进入处理过的泥土，连续不断地接受致死剂量。
