The formal synthesis of Lipid IV was performed by a [(1 + 1) + 2] glycosylation strategy. Bn Benzyl, TBS tert-butyldimethylsilyl, PhthN phthalimido, Bz Benzoyl, NBS N-bromosuccinimide, DMAP 4-dimethylaminopyridine, EDC·HCl N-Ethyl-N′-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide hydrochloride, DIPEA N,N-diisopropylethylamine, Tol tolyl, Ac acetyl, Ala Alanine, Glu Glutamic acid, Lys Lysine.
