The genetic map of pOXA-48 shows the direction of transcription of genes as arrows, with colors indicating gene function. Each concentric circle of the heatmap represents the expression of pOXA-48 genes of each strain, measured as the median log2TPM (Transcripts Per Million) between replicates, normalized by median chromosomal TPM values of the corresponding strain. Log2TPM > 0 indicates that pOXA-48 genes are expressed more than the median expression of chromosomal genes, while log2TPM < 0 indicates that pOXA-48 gene expression is below the median chromosomal TPM values. Gaps in the heatmap mean that the pOXA-48 sequence of the reference genome does not include the gene or the gene was not annotated (see Supplementary Data 2).
