OxCal phase modelling of the estimated start and end dates for the Mesolithic and Neolithic phases in and around Malta125 using the IntCal20 terrestrial calibration curve55. Results indicate a general geographical cline in the spread of the Neolithic in mainland Italy from north to south, to Sicily, Sardinia, and Corsica, and then finally to Malta.
