In the version of the article initially published, the H3K27me3 and DAPI channels of the CTR/matKO 2-cell and matKO 4-cell embryos included in Fig. 4b also appear in Fig. 1a of another publication by our group1. Fig. 4b has now been amended with new images for the 2-cell CTR/matKO and 4-cell matKO panels, as seen in Fig. 1. This correction has been made to the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
