TGEV antigen distribution in small intestines collected from wild-type and APN-null piglets upon TGEV challenge. (A) Viral antigen was quantified in pig tissues by ELISA. TGEV antigen concentration is higher in all segments of small intestine from APN-null pigs (n  V6) than from wildtype (WT) pigs (n (W10). (B) TGEV viral RNA genome copies in tissues were quantified by real-time PCR in WT (n = 8 for duodenum; n = 10 for both jejunum and ileum) and APN-null pigs (n = 6 for all sections).
