Central lamella recess formation after a water droplet (\(d = {2.95}\,\text{mm}\)) impact from \(h={0.7}\,\text{m}\) (\(\text {We}=480\), \(\text {Re}=11,800\)) onto a surface heated to \({363}\,\text{K}\). The timestamp of the spatial view can vary by \(\pm {0.2}\,\text{ms}\), due to the lower frame rate.
