Experimental setup. Subjects were seated on a rotating Barany chair. (a) Recording apparatus mounted on the subject’s head and mini joystick held in the right hand to signal rotation direction when sensed. (b) Field of view was restricted, and subjects were visually obscured from the outside world, with their vision on a fixation point. (c) A double layer of dark lightweight fabric insulated the subjects from any other visual cues.
