Dependence on exogenous serine means that tumour growth is restricted in mice on a low-serine diet; this effect on tumour growth can be amplified by antagonizing the antioxidant response.

IFNγ-induction of T_H1-like regulatory T cells controls antiviral responses

Here the authors show that unlike IL12, IFNγ can induce a T helper 1-like state in regulatory T (T_reg) cells during viral infection in mice that suppresses effector T cell responses and memory formation.

An in situ depot for the sustained release of a TLR7/8 agonist in combination with a TGFβ inhibitor promotes anti-tumor immune responses

Co-delivery of TLR7/8 agonists and TGF-β inhibitors (TGFβi) has the potential to overcome immunosuppression in the tumor microenvironment. Here the authors describe the application of the CarboCell technology for the sustained intratumoral release of a TLR7/8 agonist alone or in combination with a TGFβi, promoting anti-tumor immune responses in preclinical cancer models.
