The intercalation of heteroatoms has been demonstrated to be an effective approach to introduce new physical properties in 2D layered materials (2DMs). Here, the authors report a flux-assisted growth method to synthesize various ultrathin heteroatoms-intercalated 2DMs, showing evidence of anisotropy-stabilized long-range ferromagnetism in Fe1/3TaS2.
