Mineralogy and chronology of the young mare volcanism in the Procellarum-KREEP-Terrane

Combined analysis of Chang’e-3 in situ measurements and Chang’e-5 laboratory samples, with an updated chronology from Chang’e-5 data, reconstructed the relation between age and composition of young lunar mare basalts. Results indicate persistent volcanism 2 Gyr ago, indicative of the presence of a heat source at the time.

Targeted activation of ferroptosis in colorectal cancer via LGR4 targeting overcomes acquired drug resistance

Zheng et al. generate and utilize a biobank of colorectal cancer PDOs to find that high LGR4 is linked to chemoresistance. They develop a monoclonal antibody against LGR4 that activates ferroptosis and is therapeutically beneficial.

An intercross population study reveals genes associated with body size and plumage color in ducks

GTSE1 promotes tumor growth and metastasis by attenuating of KLF4 expression in clear cell renal cell carcinoma

GTSE1 performs oncogenic functions in various tumors; however, its role in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) remains unknown. Here, the authors found that GTSE1 is overexpressed in ccRCC, and its high expression was positively relation with advanced clinical stages and worse prognosis. In additional, GTSE1 knockdown inhibited ccRCC cell malignant phenotype in vitro and vivo. Mechanistically, GTSE1 promotes ccRCC malignance progression by attenuating KLF4 expression.
