The electrochemical NH3 synthesis from NO reduction faces challenges, including weak NO adsorption and sluggish proton supply. Here, the authors report a ternary Co/Co3O4/CoB heterostructure promotes NO adsorption while boosting H2O dissociation and subsequent hydrogenation to produce NH3.
