HeLa cells were incubated with different concentrations of sydnthione 1b (0–30 μM) and DCI-CHO-DNP (10 μM) for 30 min, and then treated with 10 eq. of DIBAC for 3 h at 37 °C. b Fluorescence images of H2S release from different sydnthiones. HeLa cells were incubated with sydnthione 1a-c (30 μM) and DCI-CHO-DNP (10 μM) for 30 min and then treated with 10 eq. of DIBAC for 3 h at 37 °C. Blank: HeLa only treated with 10 μM DCI-CHO-DNP for 3.5 h. Scale bar = 10 μm. The experiment was independently repeated three times with similar results.
