[a] Unless otherwise noted, standard conditions: cyclic imide (0.25 mmol), [AgRe/Al2O3] (6 mol% Ag), 4 Å MS (45 mg), anhydrous CPME (1 mL) and 70 bar of H2 at 100 °C during 16 h. Yields of isolated products are given between brackets and regioisomeric ratios (calculated by 1H NMR) are given between parentheses. In the cases in which two different regioisomers are formed, only the structure of the major one is shown. [b] Run at 120 °C. [c] Run with 50 bar of H2. [d] Run during 36 h. [e] Run at 160 °C.
