Graham is the launch editor of Nature Reviews Earth & Environment. He brings editorial experience from Nature Communications and Nature Climate Change where he handled manuscripts spanning physical climate. He undertook postdoctoral work at the University of California, Irvine, and completed his PhD in climate science at the University of New South Wales, Australia. His research focused on understanding large-scale Southern Hemisphere climate variability, with a particular emphasis on tropical–extratropical interactions and corresponding impacts on the Antarctic climate. Graham is primarily responsible for articles that fall within the Weather & Climate sector of the journal.
Graham is based in New York City, USA.

Erin joined Nature Reviews Earth & Environment in September 2020, bringing editorial experience from Nature Communications where she handled manuscripts in geochemistry, geodynamics, geomorphology and tectonics. She completed her PhD at Durham University, UK, where her research focused on the uplift and tectonics of the Andean mountain belt, particularly by tracking changes in the geochemistry of Andean magmatism over time. Erin is mainly responsible for the Solid Earth content of the journal.
Erin is based in London, UK.
Senior Editor | Clare Davis, PhD, Springer Nature, UK, ORCiD (she/her/hers)
Clare started her editorial career in 2019, working at Scientific Reports, Nature Geoscience and Communications Earth & Environment before joining Nature Reviews Earth & Environment in April 2024. She received her MSc in marine sciences from the University of Plymouth, and then completed her doctoral research on the marine phosphorus cycle at the University of Liverpool. Her postdoctoral research at the University of Liverpool and the University of Hawai’i focused on the biogeochemistry of the subtropical North Atlantic, with particular emphasis on nutrient limitation of ocean productivity.
Clare is based in London, UK.

Xujia joined Nature Reviews Earth and Environment as a Locum Senior Editor in March 2025 after working with Nature Geoscience for 7 years where she handled manuscripts in atmospheric chemistry, biogeochemistry and environmental science. She was part of the launch team in Nature Sustainability in 2017, and worked with Nature for a year as a Locum Senior Editor during 2019-2020, handling a broad spectrum of fields in Earth and Environment. Xujia received her PhD from Peking University studying transport and deposition of nanoparticles in soil and groundwater environments. Her postdoctoral research at Tsinghua University mainly focused on air pollution, health impacts and climate mitigation, in collaboration with the University of Leeds. She also used to work in the Development and Reform Commission in China, investigating policy and socioeconomic aspects of climate change.
