CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES

Introduction


Many complicated and complex issues come into play when studying the Gulf War. The subject of war can generate very strong feelings that can lead to intense conversations, and you may have students representing all sides of the issues.

Whether you use these activities or others, set some ground rules at the beginning of the activities and reinforce them throughout the lessons. Everyone must agree to demonstrate respect for one another's opinions and values. Students do not have to agree, but they must agree to listen and to use respectful language in their discussions with one another.
