Using multiparametric flow cytometry and the gating strategy summarized in Supplementary Fig. 2, we analyzed the surface expression profile of bone marrow myeloid progenitors and peripheral blood monocytes in samples from healthy individuals (n = 5, in white, HD), patients from the discovery cohort who subsequently relapsed with one of the two newly described relapse modalities (n = 10, in cyan, REL) and transplanted patients who achieved long-term disease remission (n = 10, in yellow, CR).
