The parameters shown were calculated for each pool size, and include the number of true-positive cCMV cases that would have become undetected by using each pool size (Y axis), and the percent of false-positive saliva detection cases that would have become undetected by using each pool size (X axis). These data were retrospectively calculated for all (8,643) newborns who underwent targeted screening for cCMV in 2014–2021.
