Regulation of WRINKLED1 in fatty acid biosynthesis. High levels of sugar activate WRI1 protein by dephosphorylation of Kin10 protein that activates genes involved in fatty acid biosynthesis. During low sugar conditions, Kin10 binds GRIK inhibitor which is responsible for phosphorylation of WRI1 and leads to proteosomal degradation.
