Structure and engineering of miniature Acidibacillus sulfuroxidans Cas12f1

The large size of nucleases of commonly used CRISPR-Cas systems reduces the delivery efficiency of these gene-editing tools for therapeutic applications. Now, the cryo-electron microscopy structure of the miniature Acidibacillus sulfuroxidans Cas12f1 reveals the determinants for its activity despite its small size.

Decoding the spatial chromatin organization and dynamic epigenetic landscapes of macrophage cells during differentiation and immune activation

Here the authors delineate the dynamic changes in 3D genome and epigenome of differentiating macrophages and during infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
