Robust excitonic light emission in 2D tin halide perovskites by weak excited state polaronic effect

Combining spin-resolved ultrafast spectroscopy and calculations, Zhou et al. report weak exciton-phonon interactions in 2D tin iodide perovskites, alleviating excited state polaronic screening effect and robust excitons, comparing to their lead counterparts.

Potent prophylactic cancer vaccines harnessing surface antigens shared by tumour cells and induced pluripotent stem cells

A prophylactic cancer vaccine consisting of commercial adjuvants wrapped by membranes from pluripotent stem cells inhibited tumour progression in mice, owing to shared antigens between tumour membranes and the pluripotent stem cell membranes.

Biosynthesized gold nanoparticles that activate Toll-like receptors and elicit localized light-converting hyperthermia for pleiotropic tumor immunoregulation

Bacteria have been exploited as a potential bio-factory for the synthesis of nanoparticles. Here the authors report the generation of gold nanoparticles from Escherichia coli and show their application for eliciting hyperthermia and anti-tumor immune responses in preclinical cancer models.
